Plant II in Taicang started operation, restructured in 2014, Taicang Plant II produces chassis components and belt/chain parts, typically including wheel bearing, electrical parking brake, tripod roller, overrunning alternator pulley, water pump bearing, as well as textile bearings.

Typical products are dry/wet double clutch, double mass flywheel, torque converter, self-adjusting clutch and clutch release system. Hall 5, an affiliated facility, became operational in 2014.

    Schaeffler Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was established.

    Schaeffler Anting R&D Center was established.

    Schaeffler Anting R&D Center was established. It houses R&D, engineering, sales, services and the headquarter for Schaeffler China. Engineers from China, Germany and the world work together to provide excellent solutions and services for customers.

    "Schaeffler Hope School" opens in Sichuan Province to support children in the rural areas after the 2008 earthquake.
