INA Bearings (China) Co., Ltd. was founded in Hong Kong, which later evolved to Schaeffler Hong Kong Co., Ltd.
1995
INA Bearings (China) Co., Ltd. was founded in Taicang, Jiangsu, which later renamed as Schaeffler (China) Co., Ltd.
1997
Raybesto Friction Products (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. founded and later joined Schaeffler, renamed as Schaeffler Friction Products (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.
1998
INA Bearings (China) Co., Ltd. Plant I in Taicang started production. Products include engine and transmission components and needle roller bearings.
1999
INA took over LuK and expanded its expertise as a system supplier to the automotive industry.

Ningxia FAG Northwest Railway Bearings Co., Ltd. founded in Yinchuan and later joined merged to Schaeffler as Schaeffler (Ningxia) Co., Ltd.
2002
INA acquired FAG and became the world’s second largest rolling bearing manufacturer.
2003
INA, FAG and LuK formed the “Schaeffler Group”.
2004
Schaeffler Asia Management (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was founded, which later renamed Schaeffler Holding (China) Co., Ltd., managing Schaeffler's all legal entities in China.
2005
Schaeffler Group Taicang Training Center was established.
2006
Schaeffler (China) Co., Ltd. Plant II in Taicang started operation, restructured in 2014, Taicang Plant II produces chassis components and belt/chain parts, typically including wheel bearing, electrical parking brake, tripod roller, overrunning alternator pulley, water pump bearing, as well as textile bearings.
Schaeffler (China) Co., Ltd. Plant III in Taicang started operation, producing automotive clutch systems and automatic transmission components. Typical products are dry/wet double clutch, double mass flywheel, torque converter, self-adjusting clutch and clutch release system. Hall 5, an affiliated facility, became operational in 2014.
2006
Schaeffler Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was established.
2007
Schaeffler Anting R&D Center was established. It houses R&D, engineering, sales, services and the headquarter for Schaeffler China. Engineers from China, Germany and the world work together to provide excellent solutions and services for customers.
2007
Schaeffler Co., Ltd. (Taiwan) was established in Taipei.
2009
"Schaeffler Hope School" opens in Sichuan Province to support children in the rural areas after the 2008 earthquake.

Schaeffler (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. was established.
2012
Schaeffler Taicang Plant 4 started operation, producing needle roller bearings and precision components for automotive transmission system, i.e. shift towers, synchronizer rings and clutch release bearing. It also produces bearing components including needles and plastic parts.

Schaeffler (Nanjing) Training Center was established.

Schaeffler Taicang Bearing Reconditioning Center started operation, providing services including reconditioning, cleaning and testing of bearings.

Schaeffler (Ningxia) Co., Ltd. opened new plant and expanded production.

Schaeffler Suzhou company moved to new plant area with improved production capacity.
2013
Application Engineering Department of Schaeffler Greater China was accredited as Schaeffler Technology Center, signaling its capacity of global technical support and service.
Schaeffler (Ningxia) Training Center was established.
2014
Schaeffler Greater China became an independent region, reporting directly to the headquarters.
2014
Schaeffler Nanjing Plant started production, producing precision bearings, transmission parts and automotive components with applications in production machinery, heavy industry, transportation, wind power, construction machinery as well as automotive engine and chassis systems.

China Concept Car launched at the Schaeffler Greater China Automotive Symposium 2014

Schaeffler Greater China receives the ISO500001 certification for its energy management system in the Taicang Campus
